DraftStation RJ-900X-U1 is Mutoh's most affordable waterbased/sublimation printer. It is a compact, 1080 mm (42") width roll-to-roll printer, a cost-effective choice if you are looking to get into the print game or want to increase your productivity. You can print at up to 39.6 m²/h speed on roll materials with its top quality 1440 nozzle Micro Piezo printhead. Originally designed for architectural and CAD applications with high-quality output, it provides an exceptional print resolution of up to 2880dpi and precise ink landing, accompanied with Mutoh's unique developement: Intelligent Interweaving printing technology. To optimize workflow and efficiency you can set it up with a motorized take-up system.

Our offer inlcludes the original Mutoh universal sublimation dye inks, which are suitable for wide-format sublimation transfer printing, direct printing on polyester textiles as well as traditional signmaking purposes, and the the usual Full service from Signdepot.

Top quality Micro Piezo printhead

Mutoh has been integrating piezo printheads since 1999. Due to decades of experience and continuous development, their printheads are now worthy opponents of the most well-known brands. Mutoh DraftStation RJ-900X-U1 waterbased/sublimation printer is equipped with a 1440 nozzle Micro Piezo printhead to provide exceptional print quality. To accomodate different substrate types, there are two head height settings: low (1.2 mm) or high (2 mm). Thanks to the Piezo Variable Drop Technology, the ink drop mass has an exceptional range of 3.4 picoliters to 49.5 picoliters, ensuring perfect coverage from the thinnest to the thickest materials.

Motorised Take-up System

To optimize workflow and increase productivity, you can setup Mutoh DraftStation RJ-900X-U1 with with a motorized torque winder. It is suitable for rolls up to 20 kg and 150 mm diameter.

The key to Mutoh's success is that all development is done in-house, resulting in 100% coordinated systems. This also includes consumables: they have developed dedicated inks tuned to specific piezo heads, covering specific applications to achieve the perfect end results. In Mutoh DraftStation RJ-900X-U1 waterbased/sublimation printer's case, this is DS2 Dye Sublimation universal transfer & direct sublimation ink, designed for a wide range of use.

Sublimation: more vibrant colors, more durable prints

You can use Mutoh DraftStation RJ-900X-U1 printer for sublimation transfer printing of textiles with at least 80% synthetic fibres (e.g. polyester), or hard objects with sublimation coating. You print on roll sublimation paper, from which you then transfer the ink to the substrate using a large-format heat press or a roll-to-roll heat treatment calender. The dye is transformed into a vapour by the heat treatment, so that it is incorporated directly into the molecular structure of the fibre material, producing extremely durable prints that resists environmental influences. You can produce a wide range of high quality fashion items, home decor textile, display products as well as customized unique gift products with this technology. Just to name a few: sportswear and fitness clothing items, swimwear, synthetic clothing, flags, decorative cushions, curtains and other home textiles, textile pictures, textile banners and other textile display products, as well as customized products of different scales.

For direct printing as well!

Due to the versatility of DS2 universal waterbased sublimation dye inks, you can use Mutoh DraftStation RJ-900X-U1 to print directly on paper or polyester roll materials as well.

When printing directly onto the suface of polyester or mixed fabrics with at leasts 80% polyester content, the ink gets fixed similarily to sublimation transfer printing, therefore you will need a large format heat press roll-to-roll heat treatment calender. The ink will be sublimated but by directly printing onto the textile, without the intermediary of the transfer paper, you spare time and money, thus increasing your productivity and profit.

Printing on rolled paper materials further expands the possibilities of advertising decoration: you can produce posters, billboards, City Light signs and much more. Thanks to its outstanding resolution and precise ink landing, it produces pin-sharp prints, making it ideal for printing photo reproductions or graphics with fine lines, such as blueprints or maps.
