Nano pin curing for transparent drinkware

The Double Helix cylindrical inkjet printer now features Nano Pin Curing (NPC), a patent-pending technology that enables seamless printing on transparent vessels—including glassware, plastic bottles, candle holders, and more—without requiring a UV-blocking agent.

In addition to this key advantage, NPC delivers an average 10% increase in print speed, the capability to print from the sham of glassware upward, and a laser alignment system for precise positioning. As the only technology of its kind, Nano Pin Curing sets a new standard in transparent vessel printing.

Automation-ready

The Double Helix is now available automation-ready for the utmost efficient print cycle. Utilize the universal robot to both load and unload to the following configurations: a single Double Helix, or two Double Helix machines. Three benefits of integrated automation include:

• more consistent production times
• 24/7 production capabilities
• the elimination of down time.

The Automation System utilizes a handling system of either vacuum or dual gripper system. Automation can be added to both new and existing Double Helix machines.

Out of round check and production log

For print consistency, Double Helix users can benefit from the out of round check feature and the production log feature.

The out of round check feature acts as a crash protection and doubles as a tool to wean out inconsistent products before printing. The result is less head crash, less machine interruption and more printing up-time.

The production log feature helps provide real-time data to supervisors. This data contains print speed, ink consumption, operator efficiencies, and more. Custom dashboards can be created and meaningful data can be managed through Microsoft Excel.

Special effects

Mirror print

The mirror print feature on the Double Helix® digital cylinder printer leverages our specialized helical software to lay down an image using colored ink, then a layer of white ink over it, and another color image layer over that. The resulting effect is a mirror image of the interior and exterior artwork. Depending on the design, an image printed on the inside layer can be different from what’s printed on the outside.

Lustre effect

Lustre Effect, a one-of-a-kind print technology, prints a range of 280 metallic shades effortlessly onto aluminum, metal, and stainless-steel drinkware. Compatible with all digital cylinder printers in the Helix line, the Double Helix offers an additional boost to the already efficient software technology eliminates time-consuming manual steps and trial and error, resulting in the perfect metallic print every time. Print stunning metallic artwork on metal drinkware vessels like aluminum cans, stainless steel tumblers or stemless wine glasses, aluminum pint glasses and more.

Tone-on-Tone & Contour Print

The Double Helix digital cylinder printer’s tone-on-tone feature gives drinkware a truly elegant look by applying gloss effects using high-quality varnish formulations without color. Contour print layers the ink to give drinkware a highly appealing textured 3D feel. The end result is a one-of-a-kind, almost irresistible print effect.

Photorealistic Rotary Printing

With the addition of 2 new colors: light cyan and light magenta, the Double Helix can now achieve true skin tones, smoother gradients, and higher resolution than ever before!
