The right of withdrawal specified in Government Decree of Hungary 45/2014. (II. 26.), on the detailed rules for contracts between consumers and businesses is only available to consumers, not to companies (the decree is only applied to contracts concluded between consumers and businesses). According to Section 8:1. Point 3 of the Civil Code of Hungary (Act V of 2013), a consumer is solely a natural person acting outside the scope of his profession, independent occupation or business activity. In other words, legal persons and companies are not entitled to the right of withdrawal.
