You can print in 1615 mm (64") width at a printing speed up to 17,2 m²/h directly onto many types of roll materials, including ones that cannot be printed by other digital printing technologies, such as heat sensitive substrates. The prints are extremely durable and have an outstanding quality: you can print up to 1200×2400dpi resolution with its dual 3200 nozzle AccuFine HD printheads. This is accompanied by numerous built-in intelligent features found only on Mutoh machines which elevate it above other wide-format printers on the market. The printer comes with the low VOC content, low odor AquaFuze waterbased UV inks and the VerteLith RIP software designed specifically for the printer, as well as the usual Full service from Signdepot.

Unique print/dry technology
Mutoh Hydraton 1642 waterbased UV printer is powered by Fujifilm’s proprietary AQUAFUZE technology, which combines the benefits of waterbased and UV-curable inks, utilizing Fujifilm’s unique dispersion technology to achieve low-VOC, low-odour and non-hazardous printing.
The printer features a combined 3-way ink formation process: the coordinated system of the platen heater directly contacting the print, the blower fans evaporating the water from the ink and the UV lamp fixing it, deliver perfectly cured, durable prints with high quality and consistency at an exceptionally low temperature. This results in lower cost by lower energy consumption as well as a broadened media compatibility.

Better than ever print quality with double AccuFine printhead
Mutoh has been integrating piezo printheads since 1999. Due to decades of experience and continuous development, their printheads are now worthy opponents of the most well-known brands. Mutoh HydrAton 1642 waterbased UV printer is equipped with double, staggered, HD 3200-nozzle AccuFine printhead, which ensure best in class drop placement accuracy even at high printing speed. In AccuFine printheads an increased nozzle row length contributes to higher productivity and increased density of nozzle pitch contributes to higher image quality.
Four head heights are available ranging from 1.5 to 2.5 mm, which provides wide media compatibility. Thanks to the Piezo Variable Drop Technology, the ink drop mass ranges from 3.4 picoliters up to 10.6 picoliters, ensuring perfect coverage and precise ink landing from the thinnest to the thickest materials.
Intelligent features for smooth workflow

- DropMaster2: Ensures automated bi-directional alignment across varying media thicknesses, delivering precise
prints without manual adjustments. - FeedMaster: Provides automated media feed adjustments, ensuring smooth, consistent media feeding for optimal print accuracy and reducing the need for manual corrections.
- Media Tracker: Prints a barcode on each roll before it is removed. Upon reloading, a laser scans the barcode to accurately measure the remaining media, eliminating guesswork and preventing disruptions during printing.
Multi-level pinch rollers
Mutoh HydrAton 1642 waterbased UV printer features newly designed pinch rollers for smooth feeding and transport of various media, including thin or slippery substrates. Each roller's pressure is adjustable for optimal performance.
Motorised Take-up System
To optimize workflow and increase productivity, you can setup Mutoh HydrAton 1642 waterbased UV printer with a motorized torque controlled take-up system, which is linked to the printer and follows the start and stop of printing. The take-up system is suitable for rolls up to 30 kg and 150 mm diameter.
