Primjet Top Coat for truck tarpaulin
Glossy, UV-resistant protective top coat for tarpaulin.
Two components: higher wear resistance.
Main component 900g + Hardener 200g
Primjet Protective Lacquer for Tarpaulins
This product is a two-component coating system consisting of a main lacquer component and a separate hardener. The main component comes in a 900 g plastic bottle, while the metal tin contains 220 g of the corresponding hardener. Before application, the two components must be thoroughly mixed in the specified ratio to ensure the coating achieves the desired performance characteristics.
Adding the hardener initiates a chemical reaction within the lacquer, promoting further polymer cross-linking as the coating cures. This cross-linking process creates a denser, more tightly interconnected polymer structure than the lacquer could achieve on its own. Consequently, the cured coating exhibits significantly superior mechanical properties, particularly regarding resistance to abrasion, scratching, impact, and other forms of mechanical damage.
Although the two-component system requires an extra mixing step due to the separate hardener, it provides a much more durable protective layer than our previous single-component tarpaulin lacquer. When properly mixed and applied, the cured lacquer forms a robust surface coating that better withstands the mechanical stresses caused by use, handling, folding, and transport of tarpaulin materials.
Why is it important to use protective lacquer on digital prints?
Outdoor conditions expose digital prints to damaging factors such as UV radiation (UVA and UVB in the 200–400 nm range), physical and environmental impacts, and substrate compatibility issues. Many people overlook the fact that indoor prints are also subject to damaging effects which lead to fading – such as ozone, NO2, and SO2 gases (from laser printers, air conditioning, heating systems, etc.), humidity levels exceeding 60%, cigarette smoke, physical contact (e.g., fingerprints), and substrate compatibility issues.
Primjet protective varnish for tarpaulins provides long-term protection for printed tarpaulins against these factors.
