The Automatic Compact Welding Machine model has been primarily designed for digital printing houses. Due to its small size and weight, hemming commercial banners and printed buliding wraps is possible even on the bench top. Floor operation is also possible as long as big pieces of banners need to be welded via the overlap method. In point of building quality and durability our machine is in par with those of the biggest known manufacturers.

With regard to our ten-year experience in the field of high format digital printing, the answers to the question above are exclusively the following at a commercial company: 1. You take your banners to the nearest vehicle tarpaulin maker because you don't have the equipment neccessary for hemming. Advantages: Although by outside help, banner hemming and welding is possible without purchasing equipment. Disadvantages: Sooner or later they are likely to scratch the banner surface, since these businesses primariliy deal with classic truck tarpaulin materials, which are more resistant to scratches and wrinkles. Besides, hemming aesthetics is a marginal issue, what matters most is the strenght and durability of the hemming. A clearly visible scratch may render your work unprofitable because you have to print the material again. 2. Heat gun + rollers and other flattening tools Advantages: all you need is a good heat gun, a heat-restricting nozzle and a silicone roller. Although it requires some investments, it is still less expensive than the mechanized solutions mentioned below. Disadvantages: slow progression. Uneven hemming quality which might prompt some customers not to accept the finished material. This procedure produces lots of smoke and requires at least two people. 3. Using double-sided adhesive tapes Advantages: the simplest solution of all, excellent for smaller banners in the short term. Disadvantages: have you already checked how much it adds to your m2 costs? At larger quantities it is not neccessarily competitive. Besides, it is not at all faster than a welding machine (we know that already, ran the tests.) and in the case of large format commercial banners and building wraps it is not applicable for overlap welding, or at least, is a bit risky. 4. Impulse banner welder Advantages: capable of achieving the most even hemming quality to date, in addition it is fast and what is important also: no smoke. Disadvantages. High frequency welding machine Advantages: consistent hemming quality similar to that of impulse welding machines, but with an even more productive speed thanks to the 20-30 meter long welding path. Disadvantages: unless your company is one of the leading digital printing businessess in the country, you may not afford to buy one. Their starting price is 30.000EUR. 6. Self-propelled automatic welding machine Advantages: one of the most popular chices in the LFP segment. Hemming banners and building wraps can be done neatly and in even quality, thanks to the continuously variable speed and adjustable welding temperature. Although these machines use heat guns also, due to adjustable parameters, welding produces much less smoke than by using manual heat guns. Furthermore, welding segments of large sized firewall banners via overlap can be done quickly in long-lasting quality using this machine. Of the above mentioned six solutions the key determinants are company size and financial means. Either with the help of an EU tender or even without such tenders if a company can afford to invest in an impulse welding machine then it is the optimal choice, yet the self-propelled banner welder is equally feasible since it is second to none in terms of cost and value.
