SD BannerWeld Pro automatic hot air welder

Automatic welding machine is one of the most important tools of any large format printing company after the printer, as printed tarpaulins and molinos require finishing operations. The two most important are the nailing and, in large sizes, welding the segments together. A tarpaulin without nailing can be at risk of being torn by the first major wind. (Another tool you will need is the Eyelet machine.) The BannerWeld Pro is a universal machine as it is suitable for roof welding operations in addition to advertising tarpaulin welding due to its weight and power. PVC, TPO, EPDM, CSPE waterproofing materials can be welded with this equipment.

A great advantage of the BannerWeld Pro model is the special backlight welding option (included in the basic kit). This option allows you to achieve a better look when producing large illuminated advertising.

Why do backlight tarpauilns need special welding?

Regular welding with this machine can be done at the same speed and quality as with our smaller BannerWeld Compact machine. However, the PRO model also has a special option for welding segments of large printed tarpaulins together with backlit (backlight) printing. This is a top roll holder and dispenser unit with a 4 cm wide roll of transparent nailing tape. The backlight tarpaulin segments can be welded together by welding the tape onto them (this will hold the two pieces together) rather than overlapping them. The tape is fibreglass reinforced PVC so the hold will be adequate. The result is a backlit banner that minimises dark weld stripes, so it creates a nice large uniform image. To rebuild the machine for the backlight option only takes a few minutes. The top roll support, guide rollers and the L-shaped blower head need to be replaced with a straight one. All necessary accessories are included in the basic package!
