Self healing cutting mat 100x200cm

The self healing cutting mat provides precise cutting quality and long lasting cutting blade edges!

Different sign makers using different cutting mat solutions. These mats have advantages and disadvantages too:

Glass board as cutting board:
Advantages: Excellent abrasion resistance, the surface will good for a long time.
Disadvantages of glass: The surface is very slippery, the blade and the poster easy to slip on the table. 

MDF, HDF and other laminated plywood boards:
Advantage: Cheaper solution
Disadvantages: The blade will leave gaps on the surfaces. After a few weeks the board will full with a lot of cutted gaps. The blade easy to "find" these gaps and cause wrong cuts.

PVC floor (linoleum):
Advantages: Cheap, the media will not slip on the surface and the blade still sharp after a lot of cuts. (only if we cut carefully and with light pressure)
Disadvantages: If the knife is dull then easy to cut through the mat. But this material also not too durable with sharp knives too because the material not made from special self-healing plastic.

Self-healing cutting mat with three layers
Advantages: Developed specifically for dialy cutting jobs. For sign makers. Not slip and keep the sharpness of the blade! And the most important advantage: The blade can't leave gaps on the self healing surface.
Disadvantages: More expensive than above solutions (perhaps same as glass) but this mat will the most durable.

We have tested all these cutting mat solutions in our workshop since 2005 and the self healing material was the best in cutting quality and durability. We broke two glass boards, the MDF caused a lot of waste and the PVC floor was in pieces after a month.
