Color Prime Chroma inks were proven reliable across multiple printer platform – including, but not limited to all currently available DTF Station Prestige DTF printers. It only takes a few easy steps to switch and experience superior DTF printing!**
- First drain your old ink with the help of a syringe.
- Clean around the printhead, capping station and wiper blade from excess ink.
- Perform “Fill ink” command to remove any remaining ink in the system.
- Fill the printer with Color Prime Chroma ink.
- Run “Fill ink” again.
- Run 3 head cleanings and print a nozzle check.
- Final maintenance: replace the dampers as needed, clean the print head surface cap and the wiper blade.
That's it! All you need to do now is to install the customized ICC profile provided by DTF Station, and you can instantly enjoy the benefits of Color Prime Chroma inks!

** When switching from the older version of Color Prime to the new ink, a complete ink change is recommended, but not required, to achieve the best print quality. The inks are chemically compatible to avoid nozzle clogging and downtime. The new ink can be poured over the old, however, keep in mind that while the two are mixing, color deviation may occur, so only pour over the old ink when there is very little at the bottom of the tank. As the old ink runs out and the new ink remains in the machine, this will completely disappear. The manufacturer recommends replacing the entire CMYK set with the new Chroma version at once for the best color reproduction.
